Hi guys! Hopefully I didn't post this twice. The first time it froze and it's not showing up on my activity log. So sorry if it happens! Anyway, I want to become a NP. I'm concerned with being able to get a license and a DEA # to prescribe meds. I was arrested for possession of precursors. While at my stepbrothers house, the cops showed up and arrested everyone. I was there because I was up to no good, but I was not making or intending to make drugs or even in possession of precursors. We were in his house which is directly connected to his shed and the items that were found were in his shed. Regardless, I have and will continue to take responsibility for my poor decisions. I was given pre-trial diversion bc I had never been in trouble before and haven't since either! I completed a probationary period and the state dropped the charges and then I was allowed to expunge the ARREST( not the charges bc they were already dropped) from my record. At the time of application, the arrest will have been 10 years prior. I've completed 9 months of counseling, comm. service, maintained honor grad, and been a teacher in my church for 2 and a half years now. The arrest really was the best thing that could have ever happened to me bc it scared me so badly I really straightened out. But now i'm scared I'll never be able to get licensed as a NP or get a DEA #. Has anyone successfully gotten these with an expunged record? Or known of anyone who has? Thank you!
