hey medic! still trying to get the paperwork squared away, got waitlisted on one class and pending enrollment for another. what are u taking this semester?
I thought I'd go for the insanity award by taking 3 classes (hmm...do they award that? if not they should.). Anyways, I'm taking Intro to Higher Ed in Nursing, Patho, and Pharm. Ought to be fun. What are you waiting to get into?
Hey good for you for starting. I am seriously thinking of starting this spring. Need some advice that you may have answers to.. 1. Can you do every class needed on-line thru U of W? 2. Do you have to be officially enrolled before taking any classes (have never done an on-line course - would be nice to try one before jumping in w/ both feet). Would appreciate any answers you can give. Let me know what you think of the program when you get going. Good luck
I don't know that you can do all of the generals online through UW. But I have been able to find almost all of my generals as an online course through the local community college or university. I'm not sure if you can take a class without enrolling. I would think they would allow that so you could see if online courses are for you. Also might want to try an online course through a local college. Good luck in whatever you decided. I will comment on my experiences when I get started.
Hi. Just wanted to check back with those of you who started this fall as I still intend to enroll next semester. How is it going? How much time are you putting into each class (hours per week)? Are you still convinced this is a good way to go about getting your BSN. I look forward to your comments. Thanks
Hi Srigg! yes, still totally convinced this is the way to go! i guess after the first patho test it will really show me more though. i am unfort still waiting for my patho book, so i have not begun hard core studying for the test. the instructor makes an outline type lecture that u can use to focus for the test, it is not completely detailed, so it forces u to look stuff up. even if i had my book i do not think that it would be all consuming. the first unit for the intro to higher learning nursing class has been easy, mainly teaching u how to use the computer and the online learning environ, so maybe an hour or two for the first 2 weeks all together. hope everyone else is doing well and that u have your patho books!!! i am jealous!

Just wondering if any other nurses are starting the University of Wyoming online RN to BSN program next week? This will be my first semester in the program.
