No problem, I'll answer any questions you have.
Be very proud you got in because its a hard program to be accepted to!:balloons:
I think we started clinicals like 2 weeks after starting. The first year clinical is 2 times a week and the last year it is 3 times a year. All that clinical time does boost your confidence for when you graduate.
SLTP2199,
Well, as you know, we haven't had orientation yet so I have tons of questions. Are there clinical days and then lecture days or can it be both on the same day? Will I spend the entire day at the hospital on clinical days? We were told there is a uniform distributor that supplies our uniforms? Do you remember the distributors name? I'd like to look them up and get an idea of what I'll be spending. Thanks a bunch for taking the time to answer my posting. If the staff at Abington is as helpful as the students I think I'll be fine! :icon_hug:
Well I can't help you with the class and clinical part, I am not a day student I am an E/W student, so I have class 2 nights a week, and clinical every other Saturday and Sunday. The uniform place they had us use was called Slom's Uniform's, or something like that, You can expect to spend about $60 bucks per set I think it was, plus shoes etc. Let me know if I can help with anything else.........sorry it took so long for me to respond i dont have much time to get on here!
Hi...
I am currently in Abington's evening/weekend program. Just started our 3rd semester - my user name isn't reflective of when I will be graduating...:)
Are you in the day or evening program?
All I can say is that it's a tough program...especially for people who work full time. However, you learn alot and there are some awesome instructors!

I'll be starting at Abington in August and just wanted to chat with any Abington grads, nurses, or soon to be nurses who can tell me more about the program.
