Anyone really really desperate and needing a job?

I was looking online, because I'm bored and reading all of these posts about people not being able to find a job, and thought about Alaska. I looked in Fairbanks and found a hospital that has job openings. Experience is preferred but not required. It also says they pay a 5000 dollar bonus and a 5,000 dollar relocation reimbursement and up to 2 months paid transitional housing for a 2 year agreement.

It's worth a look into it if you are able to move. It just seems to me for the people that have been wasting time not having a job for a year, could have already had a year's experience. (not that I'm saying you haven't been trying.) I haven't really looked too much into it, because I haven't started school yet. I was just seeing what's out there.

I have some friends that came from Fort Wainwright, which is right next to Fairbanks and they said they loved it up there. I mean heck, people go on cruises to Alaska right???!!:redbeathe

Just food for thought:o Have a great one!!

I currently live in Fairbanks/Fort Wainwright and could probably answer any questions anyone may have. I am headed to Columbus, Ga in 2 weeks to attend Columbus State Univ. I have had 3 winters here in Fairbanks, and attended the University. Just let me know if I can be of any help!

What made you want to come to Columbus, GA if you don't mind me asking? Oh wait.....military right?

Yes, military...we are originally from Columbus and only moved to Alaska to experience life up here. I abs. love Alaska but the winters can be brutal. It will be nice to move back where we have the support of family and friends though!

Sounds great:) I really like it here. My family is military, too and I absolutely love Columbus State University. I used to go to a university with 30,000 people. It's nice to go to a school that is a lot smaller.

I have never been to any other school except for a UAF (in Alaska) so I am kinda nervous about the change. I will be starting there Fall semester. I just sent my application off on Thursday. The classes that I am dreading are Chem 1151 and Statistics. The other 7 classes I need to complete for nursing are all basics like Hist, Art, World Lit, etc. All my sciences are complete! Are you in the nursing program at CSU? Here in Fairbanks the nursing program only accepts 16 students per year!! So basically everyone that gets in has a 4.0

I start the program in the fall. YAY!
