Hey! I was just wondering if anyone goes to or will be starting the BSN program at Langston-Tulsa this fall. I am really excited about starting, but I don't know anyone!! Let me know if you are or if you know someone....I'd love to meet some people!

I wish! I am keeping my eyes and ears open though because I hear they are planning to start a LPN-BSN program similar to OU's. I have heard good things about them. Goodluck!
Do you know if they have any bulletin boards in the nursing dept to post supplies for sale? I've got 2 new pair of white shoes I'm trying to sell and was going to put up an ad at TCC and Langston if I can, as well as TulsaTech.

I have a bad taste in my mouth with Langston.
First of all, their person who does their admission counseling for the nursing program accepted one of my anatomy classes for speech pathology, namely, "Anatomy & Physiology of the Speech and Hearing Mechanism." This applies only to the structures involved in the speech/hearing process, and in NOT a total anatomy and physiology class!! I had to repeat that class (was having a bad time) and that knocked me out of the program. She also lied to me about something, I mean outright LIED. It had to do with the number of classes I could repeat. She KNEW that by accepting that class for nursing that I'd be knocked out for consideration, but the school would get the $25 application fee!! :angryfire She should have been honest with me about that.
Secondly, I would say study very hard. Langston does have low overall NCLEX pass scores. Last time I saw that they were either in the 60% or 70% range for first time NCLEX testers. Wish I had asked about it when I toured the school.
Sorry to sound so down on Langston, but I really hope you do well. Best of luck to you!

Yes, a nurse tech I worked with in Tulsa has been accepted. Her name is Jody, but I cannot recall her last name. But she is very nice, friendly, and has excellent skills. Don't worry about NCLEX pass rates. You just do your best, study hard, and you should not have any problems.
