i started a thread in the graduate nurses forum, but just incase noone sees it :

I will be finished my nursing degree in december and I'm wanting to move to Ireland at the beginning of next year.

I know i have to apply with the Irish Nurses board, but does anyone know if they will accept me with little experience, and if hospitals in Ireland will take overseas nurses for post-grad programs?

any info would be really appreciated :) .. i'm a little stuck

I noticed you didn't solicite any responses to this post from a few months ago but I would be interested in what you've found if anything at all. Like you, I have strong plans to move to Ireland after finishing school and taking the start board NCLEX. I've just started to do serious research in everything involved in moving and obtaining nationality.

Curious what you've found...

You are going to have to deal with immigration, the same as for a nurse from there wanting to come to the US. By the time that you have everything completed, you should have enough training under your belt. You also will not be able to begin any of the process until you have a completed set of transcripts that can be submitted by your nursing school.

You may wish to take a look at the UK forum, you will find some threads there

delaing with the same questions.
