There are none, only a hs diploma/GED and passing the NET with a 50/50 score. If you have all your CC pre-req's you can skip their's and entire into the 3rd block of 6 for $28k instead of $43ish.

Be careful of places like Apollo. None of the credits are transferable. I had a freind who went there and then decided to become a nurse, she had to start all over again. Good luck.
That is actually untrue. The nursing credits transfer to University of Phoenix, and Bowling Green University, if you wanted to pursue your BSN. They are working on getting ACICS accredited by the end of the year, which would make the credits even more transferable. Your friend must have taken another program, like MA or massage or something, and no those wouldn't apply to any nursing program.

Yep very true. I am currently in the Apollo Nursing program and you can also transfer to ASU as a diploma nurse to get your BSN. Apollo is hoping to get their online BSN program up and going soon.

Did you end up transferring to ASU for BSN? I am an Apollo College/Carrington College graduate who started out in Maricopa Community College System. After lengthy waiting list I chose to get started with Apollo/Carrington when I knew there wasn't any transfer agreement between the two schools. I would now prefer to continue with ASU to go from RN-BSN but there is a roadblock. From what I understand Apollo/Carrington is nationally accredited but not regionally accredited which is why the nursing credits won't transfer. In order for my nursing credits to transfer I must take 4 nursing exams at Excelsior College which are 280.00 each-Adult Nursing, Maternal and Child Nursing, Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing and Fundamentals of Nursing.
Has anyone out there transferred from Apollo/Carrington to ASU?
Does anyone know anything about the Excelsior Exams....is it necessary to study for these exams extensively if I just graduated from nursing school?
Any and all advice appreciated. Thanks!

Not a huge fan of Excelsior....I know more unhappy customers than satisfied, to say the least.
Keep in mind most private schools do not readily transfer credits to public schools, thats just a universal politics thing. Once you become a RN you can do what is known as RN-BSN or RN-MSN. Most schools do not care about your nursing school as much as your RN license. Typically schools will grant you about 60 or 70 credits because of your license if you wish to pursue a BSN or MSN.
For those who do not know, Apollo/Carrington is owned by Devry who owns Chamberlain. Chamberlain offers a RN-MSN+MBA program and offers alumnis a discount. On average it take 2.5 -3 years for an ASN nurse with no other education to receive a BSN, MSN, and MBA using this program. HUGE time saver and it really is not as expensive as most people think. At about $1,500 per class most people faint but in reality that is not very expensive for graduate school...
BTW, most hospitals offer tuition reimbursement AND loan forgiveness =)
