Anyone know about Maryville's FNP program?

Nursing Students Post Graduate

Published

I am writing to see if anyone has attended or heard good things about Maryville University's FNP program? They are starting a new online FNP program next year, but am kind of leery because I am not able to find much about the program. Also, does anyone know where I might find FNP certification pass rates per university?

I agree! I'm in Maryland:)

I'm in Rhode Island

Thanks for posting books, I haven't been scheduled for my "welcome call". I was only notified of acceptance.

I'm very excited but worried. I hope everyone will still come here sometimes to talk about assignments and "blow off steam". Nice to know so many going through the same program.

I just went to online bookstores to check out prices of books. I just found out that of the first 4 books I already have two of them!!!!!! Woohooowooohooo!!!!

I just graduated from Grand Canyon University in December and used the APA manual and the Evidence Based Practice book. The exact same books and same editions. Well that is one great thing.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Hey everybody I am in Kansas. I am looking for prospective clinical sites already. I hope to have something locked in pretty soon even thoughwe don't have to have clinical sites ready for another year yet. I believe in being proactive. BabykidRN I didn't even realize you had been accepted so congratulations to you !!!!! Wow.......Everyone we have to keep in touch and meet on here to blow off some steam and help each other through this process until we graduate. Super idea !!!!!

Do you guys want to start a facebook page for our class so we can message and post on there instead throughout the next 2.5 years? This is a public forum that anyone can read so I don't know how much "steam" we want to blow off on here! :) Just an idea! I can't wait to get to know all of you! I'm sure we'll be doing discussion boards for class too so we'll get to know each other that way too. I am in Montana. :)

That's a great idea! I am in Missouri. So thankful that everyone is posting the information they are getting for everyone here to see. I finally was able to get my Maryville account activated. I still have yet to get anything from financial aid...anyone else having this issue? I am wondering how long it will take for it to kick in and not to mention how much I qualify for. My welcome call isn't until the 9th of August so I have been feeling a little anxious about not having all the answers.

Would someone who has the breakdown of courses please email it to me too? [email protected]

Love the idea of a Facebook page..let me know if you need help getting that going! Glad I also have people to bounce things off of in here. I am trying to find sites as well. It has not been that easy so I think it is a good idea to start. Congrats BabykidRN and also for already having the books and used them, you are a step ahead!!! I sent you the schedule bvwatts.

I'm still waiting for my acceptance vs denial... My app wasn't complete until July 2. My admissions lady said I still have plenty of time before fall class starts but I'm ready to hear already. How long did it take everyone to find out? I'd like to see a fb group too

Three weeks to the day I received a phone call.

When do we start clinical practicums? Is it 2013 or 2014? If its next yr I need to start looking for preceptors.i believevi will use the enpnetwork to find preceptors.i see alot of them only take about 2 students a semester and would prefer to have mine scheduled ahead of time.

francis3,

I also completed my application on July 2. My admissions advisor informed me that she would be the first to know about my acceptance or denial. She is supposed to e-mail me ASAP.

I am excited but very nervous. I am hoping that I can work through the program, at least until the practicum begins.

From the other posts the waiting period appears to be 2-3 weeks.
