Hi, I'm just getting ready to get into RN clinicals, but hope to eventually go for a CNM. I always figured after I got my RN, I'd enroll in a local RN-BSN bridge program (such as U Pitt). However, I recently found out that Frontier is now offering an ADN to MSN bridge program. Does anyone know anything about this program? Do you have to have one year nursing experience prior to enrolling in the bridge? Thanks :)
Yes, they require the year experience and the bridge is a one year program followed by the MSN and for those that are new graduates like me you can actually get your BSN during that year that you are getting experience apply and be accepted for a MSN for the next year and have finished your first year of the MSN at Frontier or other school during the same time you would have to spend getting experience and doing the one year bridge program so while this program is excellent for those ADN RN's with ove a year experience, it may not be the best idea for a new grad :-)

Am also a new grad and had read the one year experience bt was told by Frontier that they will consider extensive medical background in another field no gurantees though ex longtime lpn has a new rn license might be acceptable. Have decided to gain some experience as well as pay off a bill or two as they recommend you not work full time to do your best.
