Has anybody heard about an interview yet from University of Cincinnati, VCU, or Mayo??

Its still early, but i haven't heard anything yet so i'm just curious???

I got an email from VCU on 8/28 saying they were "meeting soon to set dates to call in applicants". That's all I've heard!

I am in U. of Cincinnati's program (first year)...The app. deadline is usually 01 Oct...the invites come out mid-late Oct., if you interview it will be in mid-nov.---the fortunate folks find out usually before thanksgiving via email if you are in.

Anyone heard from Cincy, yet? I think interview invites will go out around Oct 17th -- based on my calculations from prior years -- but I'm unsure.

I just applied to UC this past month....and am waiting to hear something. Can you tell me how to prepare for the interview. I am desperate to get into UC, and am trying to make myself standout. I am a grad student at UK with a 3.6 GPA (only 3 classes), my GRE is a 1020. I have been a nurse for two years in the Trauma/Surgical ICU at UK. I also am a research assistant for the general surgery team at UK. Do you think I have a chance??????

I applied at Mayo, I don't think they start reviewing applications until after the October 15th deadline. Usually people are offered interviews beginning in mid November.

At UC you should get invites for interviews in 2-3 weeks after the deadline (mine came via email on 10-19-07) (look a calendar and apply some leap-year math to figure out when it may be in '08) The frustrating part of dealing with UC is that you never get any feedback on whether they have everything before the deadline--other schools send out email reminders every so often or have online "accounts" that you sign onto to check your status--not UC.

My interview was on 11-12-07--Monday--they run all that week (the week before Thanksgiving) with first choice generally given to out-of-towners for the time slots as a courtesy for travel arrangements etc. After the interview, I got an email saying I made the cut in the p.m. the day before Thanksgiving--sometimes it is after (again look at calendar and apply leap-year math) Thanksgiving. The official hard-copy letter comes in mid-Dec. If you interview and don't hear anything BEWARE-- my buddy got his acceptance email the day before Thanksgiving and called me to tell me his good news that day...I waited and waited...mine went to my spam folder on AOL--YIKES! At least I figured it all out before my 7P-7A shift in the ICU that night and went to work pretty happy. Whew.
