I was accepted:)
That is fantastic Purpose!! I am so excited for you. Looks like we will finally meet.
I'll be at the campus Tuesday and I'll be going on a campus tour then.
I have 2 classes there in the summer so it will help to know where I'm going lol.
I will be on campus Tuesday as well as I have a Microbiology class from 11-2. If I can be of any help I would be happy to. I think you will find this campus is very easy to get around. What class are you taking over the Summer? I am taking Chemistry.
I will be taking :
Eng102 and
Human Growth and Development
I need some advice, I will be working full time( 7-4PM ,MON-FRI)until the end of August and I registered to take both classes Summer 1
Eng102 6pm-10pm Tue ,Thu'
Human Growth and Dev 6pm-10pm Mon,Wed
is this too much, I wont have a life and people have been telling me that Human growth is a tough class.
or I have the option to split them up into taking one class during summer 1 and the other during summer 2 AND have 1 month off.
I want to keep my GPA as high as possible (ans I want to get that 20% discount by keeping it above 3.0 upon graduation when I transfer to a 4 year school).
I really wanted to get these two classes done and have the rest of the 2 months off but I didnt want to uneccesarily lower my GPA.
what do you think? I dont know what to do
Hi Purpose,
I have taken both of those classes and although during a regular school year they are relatively easy..both require a tremendous amount of writing, reading or both. I would recommend you take one course per session...and of course you know your own capabilities. Summer courses cover the same material in a third of the time. I took A&P 1 last summer and this summer I am taking Chemistry. Human Growth is a great course...not difficult at all...very interesting...and lots of reading and writing required.
D
Thank you for the advice:D, I just came back from MCC and I moved my Human Growth and Dev to the summer II:up:
I have one Gen ed class left , Soc and Im plannin to take it next summer.
why did you decide to take CHM , I dont think that its requirement for the nsg program. I took Chemical Science 4 cr at my current school because it was a pre reg and Im happy now because I can use it as my Liberal Arts class requirement.
Sociology is a great class too. Another easy one. It's great that you're getting them out of the way in the summer.
The only classes I will have left to take for the next three semesters will be Nursing Classes.
I have read a lot of threads on this website, and everyone says to finish up the Gen Education classes before starting because its hard doing xtra classes with Nursing Classes.
Yes, I have heard that from some of the nursing students. I am just finishing up my last two classes this semester so I will only have core nursing classes in the fall.
