I took the exam last year -glad I did it but I did it for me -at the time I worked for Fresenius and they do not 'REWARD' you for anything . As a friend of mine said 'if they cut any more corners they'd be round". the test takes about 3 hrs. but if you've used the book and study guide you should be fine. Best of luck to you.Where are you from ?

Which book and study guide did you use to study? I bought a recommened book, but I'm not sure it is the most helpful. The Nephrology Nurse Core Cirriculum or something like that.
That book is very good, especially the anatomy and physioliogy section. The questions are good in the back, too. A little too much info though for the test I took. (There are more than one test they could give you) I throrougly read :
Review of Hemodialysis for Nurses and Dialysis Personnel (Review of Hemodialysis for Nurses & Dialysis Personnel) (Paperback)
by Judith Z. Kallenbach, Charles Gutch, Martha Stoner, Anna Corea
and studied what I consider to be the bible of dialysis:
Handbook of Dialysis (Paperback)
by John T., M.D. Daugirdas (Editor), Peter Gerard Blake (Editor), Todd S. Ing (Editor)
Hope this helps, Steve
I am looking for "Nephrology Nursing Certification Review Guide" to study for the CDN exam and have been unable to find it. The CDN application states that it should be found on the ANNA website, but I can't find it anywhere. Any suggestions on finding it or any other review books?
Thanks!!!!!
Found the Exam prep guide in pdf format here: http://cna-aiic.ca/cna/documents/pdf/publications/Nephrology_competencies_new_e.pdf

Hi, I was just wondering how many of you fellow dialysis nurses have taken the CDN (Certified Dialysis Nurse) exam and have been credentialed. I am thinking about taking it sometime next year. I have my Associates degree, so I can't take the CNN exam. Any advice appriciated. Thanks!
