This is their process of elimination. I was wondering if someone might be going. I have to drive three hours to get there. I have family that live in Atlanta but I have turn right back around and come home because I have class the next day. Anyway if someone else on here got invited please let me know how you feel and is this the only nursing program your aiming at.

Specializes in OR.

The same to you, limitless-visions! Good luck with the Kaplan and all your applications. Please be sure to come back and keep us updated. :)

has anyone taking the kaplan yet?if so how was it? :( am takin it next week

I take it on the 13th

Hi phrozenone are you ready for the Kaplan? I'm getting ready for the Hesi at another college on the 14th but then of course the Kaplan for me will still be on the 19th. So my brain will be fried by then. We just started our spring break at the college I attend so that gives me time to take these test and prepare hopefully with no distractions.

Hey there!

I'm scheduled to take the Kaplan on next week, the 13th. What other school are you applying to? I in the process of STRONGLY considering Chamberlain School of Nursing. They have a BSN program that just started. They require the HESI as well. What's the material like for the HESI?

Besides gwinnett I have applied to Middle georgia in cochran they take the hesi and Darton in albany take the hesi. also Spartanburg in south carolina are on a point system so they don't do entrance exams. as of now I have four potential colleges. tell me more about chamberlain i have never heard about them. Where are they located and when is the deadline to apply.

oh yeah the hesi seems pretty basic in the book and I have heard good things about it. this will be my first time ever taking it. I feel I'm going to pass it.

OK Cool! Chamberlain is actually not a new nursing school from what I found out. They have several locations up north, and I believe there's a location in Florida. They specialize only in nursing and are a division /sister school of DeVry Technical school. Ever heard of them? Anywho, they just opened a campus here in Atlanta off of Peachtree Dunwoody Rd near St Joseph's Hospital. I took a tour and the facility is GREAT!!! the labs and classrooms are amazing! Simulation lab looks exactly like a hospital which is what really sparked my attention. They accept students 3 times a year. The first class starts April 30th. The next class starts in September, which is the one that I was looking into. Oh yeah...the program is an accelerated BSN program. The only hang up I have is the cost....kinda pricey...better yet...very pricey. However, if you have any transfer credit, the cost is reduced.

That sounds good and even better that I have transfer credits and I will be able to use my hesi score to apply. Well I will keep them in mind and may even contact them to send me some info in the mail or so.

wow...well since youre already gonna take the hesi, that will reduce your application fee too. A portion of the application fee includes the cost to take the hesi. Check out the website and you may want to sign up for one of the open houses/informational that they have coming up here soon. Hope this helps:cool:

heyyy! phrozenone,

how do you tink the study guide has prepared you? :) also, do you think your ready? i couldnt believe how fast the dates to take the exam filled up!

Hey whats up!!!

Honestly, I'm really not a big fan of the study guide. Truth be told, the material in it is sooooooo broad. All I've done so far was review some major subjects/concepts in A and P, and reviewed some math problems I was able to obtain from a dosage calculation book for beginning nurses. At this point, it's kinda like either you know the info or you don't which is why I'm not too stressed out about it
