Anyone go through first week with no books?

I ordered my books for my first semester of nursing school. Class starts Monday and the bookstore is saying they may not have them until Thursday.

Has anyone ever had this and gone through the first week of nursing school with no books?

I'm ready to flip my lid here :-/

Some of my classmates run into this issue because they waited until the 1st week of class. One of the lessons to learn is find out as in advance as possible as to what books are needed, then shop around for the best price et al including getting them before the first week of class.

I did...went to the Library, and used the book until I got the book.

See if your school library has it; try to photocopy the important stuff: the boxes with information, diagrams, etc., if you can.

It's stressful, but doable.

Check out a library or make friends with someone in your class that might let you copy pages that you will need to read.

I emailed the professor

She told me I only need two books for the first week.

I got them and I will return them when the package comes in(that includes those two books).

I ordered a week before classes. I ordered my scrubs a month before clinicals.

I'm hoping things go better from here and that I have my materials soon.

If your library doesn't have it, they can send out for it for you to use until yours comes in

Our library doesn't let us take out books, but we can use them in the library.

The whole system is flawed. I'm paying an extra $200 that will be refunded once I return the two books I had to buy. I was okay not having them for one day, but a whole week is another story.

Book sales are scams, I buy used always, will never pay full price.
