Regarding my Freshman Composition class, does anyone know how I would parenthetically cite the following source in my essay?
"What You Need to Know About Geriatric Fractures." University of Rochester Medical Center. 3 Mar. 2008.
I know that you're supposed to take a few words and put them in parenthesis, but our textbook gives an example that a site title "Population Ecology" would be cited as ("Population"). I know that this source wouldn't be ("What You").
I can't get the professor to help, but one mistake in our citation will result in a 69 or 70 on the essay. Does anyone know?

Our instructor told us to use the most prominent words that the reader would be able to use to find the citation in your references.
I would use (Geriatric Fractures)
Also. If you have Microsoft Office 2007 it can insert the citation for you.
Good Luck!

Hey Hey! I have done a TON of papers and probably have a TON more to do! blech.. I usually use the citation machine.. you just answer a few questions and it does all the work for you. Just be sure you click on MLA style rather than APA.

P.S. You don't have to answer every question - just type what you know and leave the rest blank
Thanks everyone!
I was thinking ("Geriatric Fractures") would be the correct citation, but I just wanted to make sure.
And while I'm getting advice, I'll give a bit also. One of my other professors told us about two books called the MLA Handbook and the MLA Style Handbook. I believe they publish a new version of the book each year. It will tell you how to cite ANYTHING, even posts from a message board like All Nurses. lol.
Although teachers may questions the credibility of it, but some of the articles on this site written by the members might be useful. :-)
