Hey all,
I recently failed the NCLEX-RN for the 3rd time. I'm extremely frustrated and I cannot understand why I can't pass this thing. I feel like I'm almost not cut out for this career but I dont' want to give up that easily. A good family friend of mine who is a nurse keeps trying to remind me not to give up and she keeps telling me that this happens sometimes. Some of us just are not good test takers and some of us nurses take several times before we finally pass the NCLEX. I mean 2 yrs of intensse nursing school isn't about to go down the drain for nothing. I'm just the type of person who is NOT used to failing this much and I take it rather hard when I do. I'm embarrased because I know Im probably the only one out of my nursing class thats having this much problem and Its already been over a year since I've graduated nursing school. I havent kept in touch with anyone from my nursing class mostly because of this embarrassment I'm feeling. I'm all out of options. I've tried everything. I've done KAPLAN 2 times....1st time online second time classroom based. And I've done the saunders comprehensive review. None worked for me.
Please anyone that can relate, please respond to me with any advice you can think of. I would greatly appreciate it.:angryfire

I am so sorry to read this. Can you explain how exactly your prepared. How many Q's a day you did? Did you use book, cd or both? etc.
That way someone may be able to give advice. I haven't taken my boards yet but am studying using Suzanne's plan (so many ppl swear by it because it works).
Go to the top of the page and click on Suzanne's sticky. It is definitely worth a shot.
Please keep your head up and best wishes to you!

You MUST do it exactly as written by Suzanne. I have yet to read of anyone who has not passed.
Many foreing educated nurses (who English is not their primary language) have done this and passed. Many who have failed NCLEX in the past have used it and passed the next time around.
There is hope-so don't give up!!
