Anyone fail CPNRE predictor test???

World Canada CRNE

Hi guys! My CPNRE test is this Friday and so I took the CPNRE online predictor test which cost me $50!

Anyway, I just failed it and now I am freaking out! Is the CPNRE test harder or easier than the predictor test? Any advice? I studied hard from the prep guide and am ranging between 75%-80%.

I thought the CPNRE was marked on a bell curve. If I only need a 60% to pass I may just chill out on my study routine this summer. I write in September.

I too rated high on the predictor test.

no there is bell curve. You need 60 to pass nursing courses in school but need higher on the exam I am told by the CNO

That's good. 60% is a pretty low standard. I don't mind hitting the books.

Good luck to you.

I scored 85-90 percent pass on the predictor test and I feel it was an accurate prediction based upon the feeing I had after the CPNRE exam. You do also have to considered the type and hardness of the questions asked on the CPNRE. I felt a lot of the questions were my stronger areas besides maternity lol. I wrote my CPNRE on June 29th. Still waiting for results.

I would suggest this guide if you are writing in Canada (see attached image) and the practice exam pearson view has makes a good starting point with this guide, pay attention to areas of weakness and strength when you do the practice exam through Pearson view (if you live in Ontario). Also remember this guide recommends 60 and above on every set of practice questions and practice tests within the book. If you aren't scoring atleast 60 percent step back and reevaluate your studying. This guide is on Amazon.ca for 80 dollars.imageproxy.php?img=&key=64ac4bc9f5bbb98e

Same book in both pictures just one of front and back. If you google CPRNE yard stick practice exam you’ll find the site that provides it at a cost of 50 dollars. If you take that test it will tell you your strengths and weakness, this will allow you to use your practice guide better. The Mosbys book it self also has 600 practice questions and 2 practice exams when you use an electronic code provided in the book. I believe the yard stick practice exam is put on through the same place that administers the CPNRE in my area of Ontario called “Pearson view”.

Hello! I am scheduled to take the exam on October 3rd. I had it booked just last week. I am contemplating whether I should purchase the Prep Guide or the Predictor Test.

With the time left for me to prepare, do you think I am better off just getting the predictor test?

Appreciate anyone's feedback ?

Hi there - I would purchase both - I have. The prep guide is much different than the predictor test.... There are 2 predictor tests, I took one so far and it was more difficult than the prep guide. I plan on taking the 2nd predictor test as well - if anything it confirms the outcome. First one told me I have an 85-90% chance of passing, yet it was really tough... surprised at the outcome. Good luck!
