  1. HI Everyone, I am excited to be applying to nursing school for the RPN program, with an end goal of a registered nurse. My problem though is that I am really torn between what school to attend. I have gone to see both, love them. Talked to students that went to both, good feed back. Both are the same distance from my house. Both have good graduation rates. Both cost about the same. Both are back to back programs. 1 states collaborative learning program 1 states is a mix of a few forms of learning Really I can't decide! without me stating the schools of choice..please help me figure out how to pick one. How did you narrow it down..

    REINSTATED!!! And it. feels. good.

OH that is wonderful news!! Congratulations! I am so hoping this job works out for you! I know you will do great and be such a asset to that place and all the patients you see. Way To GO!!
  3. Thanks< I agree. I spoke with them today and I do not meet the requirements for BScN because I didn't take the sciences in high school and pre-health is not the advanced one..bridging it is then..
  4. thanks, did you take their program? what did you think of it
  5. Hello everyone, I have a question.. when attending a school's open house I was told that I should look into the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSCN) Collaborative Program this school offers because my pre-health marks meet the requirement for acceptance. However, my question which I didn't think to ask then, but should have is this: Can I still get accepted if I am a mature student who took the normal pre-health and not the advanced still get into a collaborative program? I don't want to get my hopes up for nothing. Is it possible that I could get into a collaborative program or should I just continue as I am doing and go the RPN then bridge to BSCN route? I understand these collaborative programs are different from the normal BSCN programs at say Conestoga, Humber or Mohawk..Advise please.. I emailed admissions at the school I went to see and am waiting to hear back. If anyone can answer this for me that would be great and anyone that has done a collaborative program that can give me details on their experience on the course and any insight would be amazing. Thanks
  6. if you start at king campus in sept when do you finish? are the semesters back to back?

    RPN where to apply

is that the pub book withs a nurse in a blue scubas on the front? I have it reserved at the library as soon as someone returns it I applied at Sheridan just so I can get my HOAE test done to be considered for Mohawk as I missed there testing dates. They don't invite you. You log into the student centre and it will show you what you need to do for them to look at your application. Mine says I need my first term grades and the HOAE test. Click the event registration tab and book the date you want. Right now it says April 10th, but tomorrow there should be a ton more says open. I watch it cause I have to book the 30th cause the lady wouldn't book it for me on the phone.

I feel you!! I never thought in a million years I would want to be a nurse but now its all I think about! My husband told me to find a "nursing" friend cause Im getting on his nerves with all this "where should I apply" business,. The young ones fresh from high school (no disrespect to anyone of that age) from what I find are annoying and some very high on themselves. Did you have to write the HOAE? how was that? I am writing it on the 30th

Oh you will fit in at humber for sure. I on the other hand do not at 41 yrs old. Back ups are always good. I am trying to figure my back ups too. This is my second career too and I too, am starting from scratch with the end goal of RN. Wouldn't it be really neat if we do this together even if at different school for rpn..

    RPN where to apply

WOW, me too! I finish August 16 at Conestoga. I missed the Georgetown intake for RPN in September as it was full. I applied to Mohawk. for Sept, and then in January, George Brown, Mohawk and Conestoga. I am 15 minutes from Sheridan but I was not impressed with them at all and have not heard any good things so I wont be applying there.

do you know what this guy was talking about in regards to the interview questions? he told me there are 2 questions and 1 one written question and if you fail this interview you don't get it. I feel he tried scaring me like it was really hard to pass this thing to get into the run program. I have an overall average of 80 in prehealth so I am hoping to maintain that coming out of exams, hopefully I get in somewhere with these grades as a mature student. This interview though, should I be worried about?
