Hi I'm doing pre reqs for my nursing program and came across great deals on international textbooks compared to the american versions from what the descriptions say the only difference is that they are soft cover and have a different image on the outside same ISBN numbers and content/page quality. Just wondering if anyone has used these and have had good or bad experiences with them.
Thanks

I have had success with international editions of textbooks.
They contain the exact same text and material as the U.S. versions. However, they tend to be paperback and have thinner pages.
International editions are cheaper because students who live abroad in third-world countries cannot afford to pay $100+ for each textbook.

I've had several great experiences with international textbooks. I've seen warnings that if the American version uses the English system for units of measurements that the international won't. It will use the metric system, but science textbooks usually are metric anyway.

I used a few international textbooks and saved lots of money. Only difference was they were paperback, which was actually a good thing as they were lighter to carry around to class, etc. I got mine on ebay. Great deal.

I loved them. I used them for all my pre-reqs would use them for nursing if they were available. Best deal I had was A&P saved $200.

The one I had was no different than the American textbook. It was hard cover and brand new, $100 cheaper.
