Anyone ever give thorazine for fever?

I got an order for thorazine iv, for a fever. I've never heard of this before, but it worked. Temp went from 107 to 102 in 2 hours

I guess hiccups and psychosis aren't the only things it's good for.

Ok, I've done a google search and several sites are listing hyperthermia as a side effect and stating that thorozine can cause hyperthermia. An older nurse at work said she remembers giving it years ago post op for hyperthermia related to shrivering. Does any one know anything about this it is driving me crazy. I rarely see the doc that ordered it or I would ask him.
