Anyone enrolled in Purdue Global DNP program

I 'm considering PG DNP program. Any input from graduates or currently enrolled students will be appreciated. Thanks

I don't know much about the program, but I had a student in the MSN program and she was well prepared and her instructor was on top of things

Actually, I graduated from Purdue Global Feb 19/2019 and yesterday I passed my AGNP exam. I did the postmaster certificate. I liked it but it was expensive.

I'm surprised to you say it was expensive. Have you found many other programs cheaper? It seems when I was researching schools using NursingCAS the average was $1000/unit. Purdue Global at $400/$720 seems like more of the lower range. Are there more hidden costs? Also, I noticed the program is accredited, but how did it work out for you to get an "appropriate site for the clinical or practicum experience?" Was the Clinical Placement Team helpful? For me it sounds like a good option, flexible, affordable, and from what I can tell (hoping to speak with someone tomorrow) meets criteria for California. It is good to hear you passed your boards as well, CONGRATS!

$30 000 for post master certificate is not cheap. No help with preceptorship. You need a separate preceptor for each class. Can’t have same preceptor.

No, definitely not cheap, I just haven't found any really cheaper. Maybe I'm just not looking hard enough. Definitely sucks no help with preceptorship. Thank you for all your input. Are you working in clinic or hospital setting?

F/U just spoke with PG about MSN-DNP and realistically about $40k for MSN and another $33.6-42k for DNP...with no help from them for preceptorship... So Def not cheap

Yanabg, How was the class structured? do they use blackboard? did you have to buy books separately or is there a book library online? How long did it take you to complete, did you work full time?

I'm considering the PostMaster Certificate in AGACNP at PG. How hard was it to get preceptors? Do you have to pay them or are most willing to do it as a "pay it forward" kind of deal.

Do you feel it was worth it? Feel adequately prepared?

I have to say that from my research, PG is on the affordable side of programs.
