  1. I' m considering moving to Arizona to start my own Urgent care/Primary care clinic as NP. What kind of permits and paperwork I need to do that. I 'm already working on my Arizona licensing. Thank you very much !
  2. $30 000 for post master certificate is not cheap. No help with preceptorship. You need a separate preceptor for each class. Can’t have same preceptor.
  3. Actually, I graduated from Purdue Global Feb 19/2019 and yesterday I passed my AGNP exam. I did the postmaster certificate. I liked it but it was expensive.
  4. I 'm considering PG DNP program. Any input from graduates or currently enrolled students will be appreciated. Thanks
  5. CSUDH FNP program. So much attitude and restrictions. They keep changing the professor's names and canceling classes when we already got books. According to them you can take only 2-3 classes per semester or you're not getting 'points" for your portfolio application FNP. You will stay there forever if you follow this path. By the way "Conditional" acceptance means nothing, absolutely nothing. Think of "conditional acceptance" like this - you are conditionally accepted if you decide to finish another MSN role or until you are rejected from FNP program, after you spent 2-3 semesters there for $6000 - $7000. There are 2 classes prerequisites before applying and extra 2 classes prerequisites after the conditional acceptance . FNP is a PART TIME PROGRAM = 7 semesters!!!! 3 scenarios : 1 semester prereqs and you are done because they rejected your portfolio , or 2 semesters prereqs after the conditional acceptance and you done because you passed the portfolio, but got rejected at the second step application process. - option 3 because you did few core classes you can change your FNP MSN role to something else9administrator, leadership , education..) and keep taking classes in CSUDH until you finish your new MSN option.
  6. Information & Workshops.
  7. I asked Dr, XX and she said that from 100 applicants with all of the core MSN classes completed they only accept 15 students. The rest have choice - to finish other role option at CSUDH or to transfer somewhere else ....
  8. Do the prerequisite first. If you take 1or 2 classes , extended education option is cheeper. If you almost done with prereqs. there is 50 $ mandatory orientation . Sign for the aplication orientation from the CSUDH SON web and ask as many question as you can during the orientation.FNP application is a two step process.Conditional acceptance is not part from the 2 steps.
  9. FNP questions I would like to ask during the orientation: How many students are conditionally accepted in NP this semester ? Why do you only accept 15after the second selection for NP? There is no other NP program with such a limited number of students . Why did we have to pay for the workshop information and for the orientation? Why should we spend 2 years with prerequisites AND core classes when the probability of being accepted is just 15%. Any other program will have JUST prerequisites as a requirement. No other NP program has core classes as a requirement for application. This is why it is called a core class. Is is true that students who have graduated from CSUDH have an advantage for NP acceptance. **Why is the number of times we can apply for the NP role limited to just to one? If we spend so much time preparing we should be allowed to apply for the NP role more than once.
  10. I think this is a list of questions we should ask during the orientation: 1.How many students are conditionally accepted in NP this semester ? Why do you only accept 15after the second selection for NP? There is no other NP program with such a limited number of students . 11. I know right ?The worst thing is that conditionally they accept 100, but NP just 15. I have no idea why just 15 considering the fact that this might be one of the last cohort NP's with MSN.They keep talking that after 2015 NP's must be DNP..
  12. I've read somewhere that CSUDH graduates have some advantage for the NP role final acceptance.
  13. I am also conditionally accepted in the MSN Pathway program. I registered 4 classes but I have not pay for the orientation for NP yet. Why we have to pay for an orientation ?
  14. [i'm assuming our essays weren't good enough, which is sad because we are all pretty good writers. )Hello. What kind of essay you are talking about . The one with the portfolio/application or a different one . Thanks
