I just received my letter and I was put on the wait list.Does anyone know what the chances are that I might still be accepted? I just don't know what to do.
Jenny, I'm very sorry :icon_hug:
The first time I applied at TWU almost three years ago, I was put on the wait list, and I did get a call about a month later saying that I had been accepted. But by then I found out I was pregnant with our third child and decided it wasn't the right time to start nursing school.
So *there is* hope! It will just depend on how many students either do not accept the invitation for one reason or another or are not able to complete the prerequisites before January. So you may be getting a call as late as January.
Please PM me if you need to.
I was accepted into the Houston program for Spring 08' so dont know if this will help those in Dallas..In our letter we were told to reply no later than 5 PM on November 16th or call immediately to decline b/c there were other people on a waiting list. So, if you get put on a waiting list hopefully they will be able to tell you sooner than January. You have to have immunizations that are taken a month apart before clinicals start, so they would have to notify you pretty soon in order to meet that requirement.
Best of luck!

A few people have posted about already receiving their acceptance letter to TWU for Spring '08. I keep running to the mail box only to be disappointed to not find a letter. I am getting worried that I must not have been excepted. I talked with an advisor at TWU and she said that the GPA cut off for Spring was a 3.7 with at least a 65 on the NET. I am not sure if this is for both Houston and Dallas. I think it will be close for me, but all depends on exactly how they calculate the GPA. I only applied to Dallas. She would not tell me if I was accepted or not, she told me I have to wait for the letter to find out. I cannot wait any longer. Am I the only one who has not received something????
