Would someone mind explaining the admission process? I am currently admitted to an online RN-BSN program that will take me 1.5 years with a Sep start date, but the length of time you can finish at WGU is definitely appealing! I'm just concerned about transferring my classes from when I graduated with my Bachelor's in 2010. Can my transcripts be reviewed prior to applying for admission to the college?
The enrollment counselor hasn't responded to my e-mail yet so allnurses.com is the next best thing!
I think I'll be starting July 1 as well. Depends on whether the background check comes back by 6/22. I had been accepted last year then had second thoughts based on the pass/no pass grading. Now I've thought better of it and realize this is still likely the quickest/cheapest way to go. So at the last minute I decided to reconsider. Based on employer reimbursement I have to either start by July 1 or wait until January 1 (if I want to be able to afford it).
I'm really motivated and excited to start, just hoping I don't find it hard to be dedicated with the summer weather.
Also hoping I'm not pushing too hard in order to get in by July 1. If it's not meant to be until January, then so be it. I guess I'll know when the background check either comes in on time, or not.
Good luck to all of you!
They would not do an official transcript review for me as long as I showed classes "in progress" on the transcript, so I had to drop out of my fall classes I had kept as a backup in case I didn't go through with the transfer. So yes, you can get your transcripts reviewed prior to admission, but they must not show classes in progress. My admissions counselor was knowledgeable though and was able to tell me what classes would not transfer. I had no problems, they accepted every class she said they would. They will not accept any BS level nursing classes and have certain classes you must take with them, I will have to repeat a few.

Just seeing if there is anyone else starting when I am...did my intake interview yesterday, and have to pay by June 22, and then get my mentor...ready to get going!
