I just wanted to say I think your attitude is amazing! A lot of people like to blame their programs, tests, clinical etc. But you took it in stride, held your head up and are positive about the whole thing. I found out today that a few of my classmates didn't pass. I hope that they are as motivated as you are to keep on trying!
Good luck with whatever you decide!!!
Hi, I just finished my first semester of Nursing school too, so I'm not the poster you hoped for, but I am so inspired by your courage, tenacity and fortitude. Post in the general forum and you should get the people responding that have become nurses after the rough start.
We lost several of my classmates this semester and I know some are going to repeat. One of our classmates was repeating her Fundamentals and made it through this time. She is very strong in the clinical because of her experience as a rehab tech - surely this will pay off as our classes progess. Another classmate was also repeating Fundamentals and made it through this time.
Keep working toward your goals and don't give up!! You will find your way. You have the big heart that will keep you running when the others give up.

Well, I hate to say fail because I got a C. It just wasn't a high enough C for me to pass. I freaked out at first. I was so depressed and I wondered,"Is it really meant for me to become a nurse?'..... Then I got up and relized that, "yes it is!!!!" OK, I didn't pass. I learned alot. I loved clinical. It was such a conformation that this is what i want to do. So, I'm taking some other classes I need next semester. I have to re-apply to the nursing program with a letter. If I'm not re-accepted, then I'll just transfer or apply somewhere else. I am fully confident that I will get in somewhere else if need be. I just want to incourage anyone else who may not have passed to hang in there and keep trying. As for myself, I knew the information very well, I just have to learn to think critically and apply what I know. I'll get it!!! If there is anyone else out there that may have failed their first Nursing course and gone on to complete and get their RN. PLEASE respond and share your story. So as to incoursge myself and others who may be in this same situation. God bless everyone!! And don't worry, we'll all get there.
Look how far we've come!!
