Anyone else applying to BRCC(baton rouge community college) nursing school 2015???

I am all done with the application process... 4.0 and an 88 on the HESI, all classes taken at BRCC.. now.. the WAITING process ... AHHH!! The worst part!

Anyone else out there waiting with me?? Im a nervous wreck so some company would be nice.. haha

I'm just seeing your reply. It all depends on the cohort you apply with. They pretty much put the number of classes you took at BRCC, your GPA in the prereqs and your HESI and excel ranks them in order. They contact the first 60. I received my letter later than some and I live in Baton Rouge. My other friends lived outside of BR. Starts around the second week in June.

I got my letter today! I made it into nursing school for this August!!!!!!! Yay!!! All glory to God!!!

I actually thought it would be worse than what it is. I turned the first four things in an hour after I got my packet. The only thing left is doctor apt and to get all my uniforms and equipment and insurance, and it's not due until July 10th. My doc apt is Friday. I did CPR in January. So other than getting my uniforms and equipment, Im almost done. I thought it was going to be much more things to do and in much less time.

I don't know anyone personally that is applying for 2016 but if you ask around while in your prerequisite classes, you'll find lots of people. I knew half the class when I started nursing school because I did that. Haha

Hey! How's your first semester of nursing school going for you? Any advice?

It's going great. I love it. It's a lot of fun and I'm learning a lot of super cool stuff. It's much different than all classes I've ever taken. It's not really like school anymore, it's more like a training camp. It was rough at first because I had to adjust to the new style of things. But I'm getting the hang of it now. You are going to love it and realize you worked hard to get into nursing school and it was worth it.
