anyone done/doing CVS for NYS??

hi.. i know CVS for NY state takes about 6-8 months to be done.. i was just wondering if anyone has gone through this service lately or is in the process of waiting.. like me.. i have read some threads discussing their experience with the CVS but they are quite old.. i appreciate any updates from anyone.. thank you..

Remember CGFNS wait 6 months to receive paperwork from the various places. If they receive the paperwork quicker then they will send your application to the NY BON once complete

I applied for CVS NY last September, i'm still waiting for the issued report. My status is: "READY FOR FINAL REVIEW". So I'm just waiting for the report to be forwarded to NYS Ed.

hi.. thanks for the reply.. so did u receive notifications that CGFNS already sent request to your school and licensing authorities? i applied end of december but i think it was just february that i received a mail from them stating that the application is complete.. so i guess that was only the time they sent out the requests.. do u remember your timeline? thanks again.. :)

Here it goes:

I applied last September 2009 in NY. Came back here on October 10. I checked my status online before my flight and then it was stated that CGFNS mailed the requests to my school and PRC.

CGFNS received my license requirements from PRC on December 09.

My school however, did not send all the needed requirements (this was Dec09), so they sent other letter on Dec 09 too.

My school received the request Jan 2010. I mailed the needed forms on the last week of January.

CGFNS received my forms from school, March 2010.

and i checked my status online, then it said READY FOR FINAL REVIEW. I just don't know when will it be released, since that status was on for 3 weeks now.

I'm really hoping to get my exam on May 2010... it's been like 7 months!

The duration of the letters is 1 month. and you cannot send them through FedEx cause it's a PO box.

It took me 8 months and I received it this January. I was educated in Canada. After the status showed ready for final review I started phoning and that seemed to help...if you can get hold of someone.

What do you mean "if you can get hold of someone"? It's been 3 weeks.. :(
