Anyone Dealing With Changing Pre-Reqs?!

I am 17 credits into my General Ed requirements and had 4 classes left to take. Today I was checking the pre-reqs again and it has changed to include English 235 which I don't have. I'm livid. I've heard the school has a habit of doing this. :angryfire:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire
I filled out a Preadmission Request in 2006 when the pre-reqs were different. Does anyone know if I will now have to take this new class as well or am I grandfathered in under the old plan?! They actually changed a few of the classes, but this is the only one that I didn't have. Thank you for any info anyone can provide. I will call school, but wanted to get an idea of what other schools did first.

I will say though that yes, many times our pre reqs have changed and effected many people. I worked on mine slowly so every year I would go to the Nursing workshops to have a heads up of what was coiming, I more then once had to scramble to get into a new class, or a class I had worked so hard at (like chemistry) was dropped. All in all it was a pain and I was as mad as you but you can't let that get in your way you have to persavere and get through this it's just one of the lovely hurdles we as nursing students have to jump.

At our school, if you've been continuously enrolled, you have the right to graduate under the terms which you enrolled, even if it's years later. A similar situation happened to me. I completed all of my English classes and then the requirements were changed. If I had stayed in school I would have been fine but I left before I finished my degree and have since gone back. Now I have to take the "new" English classes. I'd check with your advisor or the records office.
