Anyone in Chemistry at Clovis this semester?

Cincinursemary - how are you doing with the formula balancing? Did you figure out a trick that works for you?

Not really. I'm practicing them all the time. I especially have a problem with anything hat has H2O in it. I had a tutor, my son's best friend growing up, he told me I had the basics down, but to just pay attention to what is asked, and write out the equations each time, including the ion charges, so that I actually look them up and don't assume I know it.

Do you have any tips? Was it a paper test or an on-line test. Did you get your grade right away? Any tips for the exam ( what notes did you take in with you?)

The exam is exactly the same as the others. Just log into the web site, and when you select the final exam, there is a password required that your proctor will have. It's 100 questions, and you'll get your grade as soon as you submit.

For me, I knew the history questions would be the toughest, so I made sure I had the chemist names on my notecard. Plus the formulas. Then I went through and wrote in anything I thought I wasn't totally sure about. The thing that helped me the most in studying was to go through the past exams. I made sure I could answer questions just with the information on my notecard and what I remembered on my own.

Finished exam in about an hour and a half. It was easier than I had expected. Got a 92. For anyone considering taking this class, I recommend it.

I cannot believe I missed this forum. I started CCC's chem 113 with Mr P. in January. Taking the final today and nervous. Trying to fit all my notes on the 3x5 index card is challenging! :dead: It sounds like the final is similar to the module tests, which is encouraging. Good luck to everyone who has not taken the final yet!

Can anyone help me find where the course description for this class is located? I need to fill out the transfer credit form and CCC's website is not very user-friendly. Maybe I am just use to OU's website. Thanks!

Download the full course catalog and look up that specific course. That's the description I used for my transfer credit form.

I'm taking Chem 113 online now and having a great experience so far! I HATE chem but I've actually learned things- and don't feel like a complete moron like I did in high school when I took it. I don't dread logging on to see what is due, I really am pleasantly surprised because I thought this would be a nightmare. I am nervous for the final but hoping that keeping my grades higher right now will save me if I bomb it.
