Anyone from CA who took the NCLEX on the 16th?

i personally think those old and nearing retirement nurses that are working in these various bons (board of nurses) departments are also part of the problem, they are slow to technological improvements and also do not want to embrace any new ideas, frankly why should nurses wait this long when most of the other health professionals such as nuclear technologists, therapists, and many more normally finds out upon shutting off of the test computers as to whether they pass or fail???. this wait is very anxious and family members keep asking if you pass or fail. it's time we modernize our nclex test delivery method just as the new government is doing to our rail road system, the health care system, and to education. i have passed my exams in another state and i'm currently doing reciprocity to california and again, there's so much wait, was told to wait 4-6 weeks, so it's always one hurdle to clear after another and i'm still sitting at home waiting for my ca license, frankly i believe they can do better. maybe we the students may have to organize and put some heat on this folks. haven't said all this, i'm also mindful that is not all the workers are old and slow, i'm also aware of bureaucratically orchestrated obstacles, internal competitions and perhaps budgetary restraints so...... but seriously guys, there are only three things i can advice you to do whiles waiting for your exams, first wait, second keep waiting, and third continue to wait, that's what i did and if you pass or even fail, remember everything happens for a reason. good luck.

Hi Jenny73: Nope, still no result. I called the CA-BRN today and the automated machine says that they are experiencing a very high volume of calls and it tells me to please call again later, then it automatically hungs up on me. Compared last week, I was able to talk to the operator. I'm doing better now than last week. I think i'm on my acceptance phase already. How bout you?

Hi Paul, no result yet for me. I called CABRN last week and the woman who answered my call said that I have to wait my result in the mail coz they don't have online result. I asked her if my name isn't posted in their website after 10 days, does it mean i failed? she said that i have to wait in the mail and it takes 2-4 weeks...

Just like Paul I think I'm in the acceptance phase. I took my test on Feb 20th and still no results. I see a lot of people who have taken their boards and received results within 3-5 days. I'm bout to give up and just say I failed. I'll just have to study again and pray that next time I pass. Thanks everyone for your support.

Just to add some info you guys. If you ever get a letter from the CA-BRN saying you didn't pass, you are not allowed to request a re-check or re-verify of the results. It's final and there is no questioning or challenging allowed---unlike other states. So the state makes the final decision whether you pass or not, either way.

dude i feel bad for u. i know ur going through financial challenges for your family and you reeally need this license that bad. i'm doing OK, but i agree this waiting-for-results thing is a horrifying experience... california is SLOOOOWW.... its worst than going to the post office and waiting in line. And there is nothing worst than family members nagging you if you passed or not. *sighs*

My goodness...okay, so I'm finishing up my 1st qtr of RN school in WA state and I'm reading your posts feeling anxious for you! I remember how anxious I was awaiting my NREMT-B results (sounds similar to NCLEX, you might get 65 ?'s or 100 something). I thought I had failed, but I was wrong (I am known to be a bit of a pessimist when it comes to tests).

Just want you folks to know that I am nervous for you, but hope to soon see the "I passed" post. Hang in there!! I know, easier said then done. Good luck

I agree. If you dont see ur name on the site after so many days then you have a slim chance of passing. The letter is just another way of saying u need to study again.
