Anyone attending or taken the Accelerated BSN at Concordia in Irvine?

Yay congrats to you too! mine is also july 10th at 8 am..a little early, I need to start preparing do you know what types of questions they may ask?

Yeah, check-in time is 7:30am. Other students have interviews on July 9th, I wonder how they went about dividing up the applicants for different interview dates.

I can't say exactly what questions they might ask since this will be my first interview with Concordia. However, I have had experiences at other schools and the questions seemed to be critical thinking questions. Of course we will get the typical "Why do you want to be a nurse, and why now?" Other questions schools have asked are just putting you in certain situations to see how you would react. For example, I had a question that was "You put an assignment off to the very last minute and needed to turn it in a day late instead. You got the assignment back and you failed the assignment, how would you react?"

I would suggest going over your personal statement and going over the questions they wanted us to answer in it. The only advice I have really seen on here that seems to be crucial is just be honest and portray who you really are! I am sure you will be fine!

okay thanks for your help. I will surely look over my personal statement. I read that they interview 60 for 30-35 spots...so that gives a little over a fifty fifty chance! I really hope I get in, I had also applied at st. Mary's and got didn't even get an interview but i had 3 classes still in progress so maybe thats why. What area are you coming in from?

I have a couple questions for you..What is the schedule like weekly and each semester? Do u get any holidays off?

Hey Boston, I don't know if you have done this already, but towards the middle of this thread there is a student that discusses the schedule and exams that may be a little help with answering your questions. I guess we'll find out more soon, your interview is tomorrow right? Good luck and let us know how it goes! 4 hours is a long time!

By the way, does anyone know if Concordia has a one-on-one interview as well as the group one?

hi, I also have an interview on July 10th. I just hope that since it is a group interview I hope that we don't give the same answers to their questions. And I hope it's oK if we do give similar answers. Good luck everyone and those of you with interview on the 9th, I hope you can give us updates on what it was like.
