LA County College of Nursing and Allied Health has a great LVN-RN, ADN program. I will be graduating in 11 days. It is not a private school but there is no waitlist, it is a point system based on grades and entrance exam. They have a basic two-year program and an LVN option which is 1 year. I will be graduating as an LVN transfer. The cost is less than $10000 as an LVN transfer. It has been a great experience and the clinical is amazing, we do a lot more as students than many other colleges. Here is a link to the website. I looked at west coast when they had the ADN, almost went there but they were so disorganized and kept screwing up what they were crediting me for and were enroll one me in classes I didn't need. Everest had one also in Ontario. I ended up relocating to Fremont and slept on a family friends couch for 9 months to do unitek as I had all my gen ed and sciences done, I just needed the nursing component and they were the only ones who would credit me everything the way it should be. I would just look through the approved California list on the brn website and see what is in your area.
Good luck!

I am currently looking for a LVN to RN program either ADN or BSN. I've gone to a west coast university orientation but OMG its so pricey. Also I've contacted concorde career college in orange but they will not credit my LVN. Anyone know of any other programs?
