Anyone attending OCCC's Nursing School?

U.S.A. Oklahoma

I have been accepted into OCCC traditional pathway starting Fall 2012 and was hoping to meet and possibly network with other students in my program. I would love to find others in my cohort to lend each other support as we embark on the nursing school journey. I am very excited to get started, yet also terrified! Orientation is less than 3 weeks away, but it feels like forever still.

I would love to hear from you if you are attending OCCC.

Goodluck on your exam :)

Done with exam and home. I think I did okay. At least with this professor we get to know scores pretty fast. I hope I remembered to put all the rights and lefts lol

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone would be interested in meeting prior to orientation. We could help each other put the patches on the scrubs for instance.

I am really looking forward to starting. I have been waiting for this for so long that I just want to get going on it.

That would be a great idea. Im going to pick up my patches for my scrubs this Saturday. It also says name tags, do we get those in the bookstore or at orientation? The days are counting down and I believe we are officially at 15 days till orientation ;)

You get both the patches and the name tags at the book store. They order the name tags and it takes about 7-10 days for those to come in. I plan on going to campus tomorrow to sell back my A&P textbook. 2 Weeks from tomorrow till orientation! Weeeeeeeeeeeeee

OKNurse2be, I am going into my fourth and final semester in nursing school at OCCC. FYI, if I was you I would not get rid of any of your A&P textbooks. Starting your second semester you will be starting med-surg and even though your not tested on physiology, its always good to have them as a refresher. You will always go over physio in the begining of any disease process. Congratualtions on making it and enjoy the ride!

Thanks for the tip. I really needed the money though so I kind of had no choice. I figured that if I really didn't understand something I could try to google it.

Congratulations on making it to the 4th semester. That is a big accomplishment in itself and before you know it, you can put RN behind your name :)
