Anyone attending NOVA 3rd semester (NUR216) this fall?

I am trying to switch my clinical section. I have had a work conflict come up.

I am looking for 0B7H or 0A7H (Inova Fairfax for psych and Iliff for med surg).

Please send me a private message if you want to switch and have either of these sections, or if you might know of someone else who would want to switch with me.

I know this is a long shot but I saw a thread from someone else asking something similar for first year and figured I'd give it a shot!

That's interesting. I have no frame of reference for what is considered popular, because our program has been so separate from everything else. We took 111 in Spring and 118 in Summer, so we didn't have a lot of choices until now.

If I don't get one of those I will end up with 0A4h, because it has openings currently. I just figured there is a slight chance that someone would want a 12 hour section which is what I currently have. I should go post on the bulletin board. I have asked profs what I should do to try and get in touch with students and no one has suggested that to me. We went to lab at Arlington until this past summer, though, so I am still not accustomed to what is where at the MEC, so I probably just didn't notice yet that it was right there. lol.

The board is just outside the lab, but of course majority of people would not see it until Aug 25th. I was only at campus to write the NUR 255 online exams and I volunteered for Camp Med

most students I have spoken too (not that many,lol) do want a 12 hr clinical, BUT not on a wed because of 0900 thurs morn lecture!!

How weird is this? I just heard of someone through a friend who might want to switch with me for a different peds section. She wants to be in my section and give me OA5h (which is a different peds section, with Shay). It's a schedule I can't do, just like the section I am in now, but if the peds sections are in demand in general, I think I will take it on the idea it'll be easier to get someone to switch one peds section for another. It's actually similar days to the section I want, but my job really makes it so I can't do Tuesday mornings at all.

This stuff is totally frying my brain. :confused:

I just ended up taking my second choice clinical. All this stress was so not worth it and I want to just enjoy the last few days of my break, damn it. :chuckle

there is (was) a 12 hr clinical open on Mondays at Dominion!!!

My work is so particular about days. I had stupidly assumed it would be fine to be out Mondays. I also can't do Tuesday mornings. You've seen our clinical offerings - what can you do if you can't do Mondays or Tuesday mornings? For whatever reason those seem to be the most popular days for clinical - especially Tuesdays. Sigh.

That is the last time I try and register under an assumption that a certain day is OK. :banghead:
