Anyone Applying to Samuel Merritt ABSN April, May, June 2009?

Is anyone else applying to ABSN at Merritt for Spring 2009. Let's post our experience the next 6 months here. I'm just getting started on my application due nov 1. Good luck. :up:

Hey everyone, has anyone filled out their FAFSA or received any financial aid information? Just wondering what the numbers look like... I know tuition is about 50K (which is $$$$$ for me) but I'm sure there are additional costs for books, uniforms, health insurance, etc. Right?

I am still waiting to hear from San Mateo. The wait is KILLING ME !

if notices are going out by start date of the program, then, we've got some waiting on our hands since we're hoping for san mateo. did you apply to any of the other 2 locations too? i have sf as my 2nd and oakland as my 3rd.

The start-date notification order was an unscientific guesstimate of mine. Around this time last year, SMU (renamed from SMC) applicants of the 3 different campuses received notifications at about the same time. So I'm not sure how it goes this year. I did mark Oakland as my 2nd and SF as my 3rd.

i submitted my fafsa yesterday for the 2009-2010 school year. did anybody apply to the elmsn program as well? I did, but I don't think I will be notified anytime soon and I gutta accept the absn by feb 20th.

congrats. Do you know if you have to send money. I applied to about 5 schools and got accepted at one in Los Angeles..had to send them 400 before

I had heard from other schools.Just got accepted in Nebraska they want 200 by the end of the month and I have an interview with U. of Arizona on the 20th.. It is getting expensive.. Want to hear all my options b4 I have to make a decision.... Congrats again !!!!

wow! congradulations to everyone who got their acceptance letters! I'm still waiting to hear about 1)Oakland, 2)San Mateo, 3)San Francisco.

Trying to stay calm:scrm:. I might have made a mistake by applying to Oakland as #1 because it's more competitive. I hope if I don't get into Oakland, I'll automatically be considered for San mateo. Yikes.

I think that's how it works... if you don't get your 1st choice, you get evaluated for your 2nd, and so forth. I applied in the same order as you too!

My cousin just got accepted to the San Francisco Location. I'm still waiting for 1) SF 2) SM 3) OAK. Sounds like the only people who are getting their letters so far is SF. If anyone gets accepted to San Mateo or Oakland, please keep us posted!

Did anybody apply to the ELMSN-FNP program as well that was due last January 15th? If so, did you get a call from Samuel Merritt for an interview?

You want to do your fafsa for 2009-2010 before march 1st. You'll also have to do some research on private lenders because the gov doesnt lend enough to cover tuition. Check out the financial aid section on SM website and you will find private lenders or go to eloan.com and you can choose from a list of lenders.
