anyone applying to Georgia state Spring 2012 program?

Hello everyone,

I did not think I was going to get mail today because, it was 6pm and no mailman. But then I heard him!!! It was about 6:30 or so but its here!!! I received my acceptance letter into the traditional program.

I just knew that I did not get in because when I saw svictor1's stats I thought for sure that I did not get in. I was just waiting for my decline or wait list letter. But that was not the case. My scores were not as high as svicotr1 so I am not sure how this thing works. I am just thankful that I am in.

Good luck to everyone!! It will happen for you too!! Thank you Lord for always blessing me. I am so very thankful.

Congrats Mom2011! I also received my acceptance letter into the traditional program today!!!! I got my letter and was so nervous.... I felt the envelope and it was a little thick...I couldn't believe it.. I remember what yayaccepted had told us about the letter being a little thick because it will contain some info about the program... I ripped it open and couldn't believe my eyes!! I was so sure I would either get on a waiting list or get rejected... Good luck everyone and hang in there!! My letter was written Nov 8th and the envelope postmarked 9th and just received it today on the 12th!!!

Congratulations Mom2011 & Hlee!!!!! That's awesome!!! Now, you all can relax throughout the weekend! I didn't get anything today, but I'll see what Monday has in store for me. At this point, I'm ready for whatever comes my way. Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

I've been stalking this thread for a while... so I thought I'll let you guys know, I received my letter of acceptance into the spring 2012 ACE program yesterday! yay! congrats to the others, and goodluck for those still waiting!

I am going crazy!!!! I was wait listed for the Fall 2011 ACE program, and now I'm waiting for my letter again. If I don't get in I'm not sure what to do. I already took this semester off b/c I had absolutely nothing else to take. Any suggestions on different degree if nursing don't pan out??

@ Alinaxa- Congrats & welcome!!!

@ Kuhelski- I know that this process is frustrating, but please don't let it change your path. If you don't get in, have you already or thought about applying to other programs? This is my first time applying, but I haven't received a letter yet either, so I know how you feel. If I don't get in, I'll start working on my plan B. If I do get in, I'll be one super happy nursing student. Either way it goes, I'm up for the challenge. If you change your career path let it be for some other reason besides not getting into GSU's nursing program.

There's one thing that I believe...Everything happens exactly the way that it's supposed to. We may not know why or understand it at the time, but everything happens for a reason. It's up to us how we process the lesson or blessing.

Okay, so old habits die hard... For the people that received acceptance and waitlist letters, when were your letters dated/postmarked/received and what date do you have to submit your responses by?

Also if someone has received a denial letter, can you share info on those too? Did they state particular reasons?
