Anyone applying to Erwin for October day class 2011?

Published

I applied for the school and now I'm studying for the TEAS V. I will be taking it in March 12. I applied for the LPN 3 years ago and got accepted on the first try but I had to quit because I got pregnant. I hope this time I get accepted again..

icaspe will you be in the AM or PM class?

I'm going for the PM class. It seemed like most people were going for day though...when we turned in our scrap paper I was the 1st one to say pm! lol

What are the class hours for the evening program? And how many days a week?

Do you know how much it costs?

I am signed up for the Teas test in May, and a hopeful for October AM classes...I am continuing to research my options though. As soon as I'm done with the LPN program I do want to bridge over to the RN program but with Erwin they do not have this. Apparently it states that a community college will accept your credits but you still have to take their pre-reqs which is another year or even more to take the classes along with being accepted into the nursing program. I am thinking of going to another school like Allied or Galen that already has the bridge program within the school. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

If those are your plans to bridge over, I would check into another school. I have heard Galen is a good school.. Do you live in the Bay area?

Hi icaspe.. The program at Fortis is 23,000.. Yea costly. They are accredited and offer the bridge program. Everything is included in that price! From your hesi exam cost to your books!

Johnsonny,

Yes I live in the Bay area, in Brandon though. So you would suggest going to Galen instead of Erwin? Do you know if I do the LPN program at Erwin, would those credits transfer to Galen if I wanted to continue on to the RN? Or should I just try to do it all at Galen if I would get accepted?

Thanks!!

The PM class hasn't had their meeting yet, but for the AM she basically told us we were all accepted as long as we turn in our packets on time. We should receive our letters in August.
