Hi everyone, I know there is a lot of time to apply but I missed the deadline for Fall 2012 and I was just wondering if anyone else is applying. This is a really good website to share information etc.

Anyone know why they are removing the TEAS requirement now?

Hi, I just got an email from Emory.

This is what they said about the TEAS requirement. :)

Hi. We cannot comment on the specifics of why individual students may or may not be required to take the TEAS exam. However, please be assured that the inclusion of a TEAS score in your application packet will give the Admission Committee beneficial information surrounding your academic background and could result in faster processing of your decision by the Admission Committee.

Since now, apparently. I never finished my application since it seemed impossible to apply for this coming fall, and I got an email from them yesterday saying:

Thank you for your continued interest in pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Emory University. We wanted to provide you with a processing update regarding your application as you continue to work towards submitting your application. At this time the TEAS requirement will be waived from the application process. If you have not submitted your application because of this requirement, please contact us and we will be happy to walk you through the proper steps to submit your application.

Please contact our office so that we can assist you with submitting your application. Our application deadline has been extended to February 1, 2013. Please feel free to contact our office with any questions that you may have.

Wow. That's great. I don't have a strong teas so that makes me feel better knowing that the teas isn't a Deciding factor any more

Hey everyone,

I've applied for the BSN 2nd degree program for fall 2013 too. Can everyone post their cumulative GPAs and math & science GPAs as well as TEAS scores so we can all have an idea of what the applicant pool looks like and what stats are competitive? I'm really nervous because my overall GPA is only 3.29, but my prereq GPA is a 4.0 and I've taken a lot of advanced chemistry classes...any info from yall would be great!

Here's my stats.

Overall gpa : 3.59

Pre-req gpa : 3.86

Teas V : 82

But I needed to submit my TOEFL score as well,

Emory preferred the score of above 100, but mine were only 94.

And I just got an acceptance letter from Mercer's fall program, but I'm waiting to hear from Emory first.
