Hi. I was wondering if anyone was applying to the PN program at delgado in May for Fall 2015. I feel like im alone and really wanted to find other students going the same route as I am? If you are why did you decide to go the LPN route? and what are your plans after finishing? Doing LPN-RN bridge or staying a LPN?

Hi im applying for the lpn program fall2015 my profile score is an 80 im going the lpn route because i need start working as soon as possible and i plan on getting my rn later. I call charity last week and asked her the profile score cut off for last year and she said between 80 and 85 but im not sure if all of the 80's that applied got excepted or not because she wouldn't tell.
Thats good. My profile score is a 90 with a 2.6- or better gpa. If lower i will be at a 85 profile score. Same here i decided to go the LPN route to start my career and wanted to go to delgado because they let you apply for the LPN-RN and start u at level 2 nursing classes.
Im retaking taking a few classes to improve my gpa to an extra 5 points on the profile score. Your probably accepted for sure with a profile score of 90
I have all A's in my intro to a&p but im upset that they wont take my A in my biology 114 i took at nunez so hopefully i make an A in the medical nutrition im taking in spring. If u can make sure u make some A's because u will be sure to get in too!
Im also taking nutrition this coming spring and im a little nervous because I've heard that the lady that teaches the class at delgado is a tough grader and very detail oriented.
My advice is to make your own study guide of whatever she teaches u. I had an instructor like that at Nunez he didnt tell us what was going to be on the test and it was never multiple choice all short answers!!! The good thing was he had power points to look at so u can make your own notes. I hope she do study guides or powerpoints cuz that will make it easy. After i made my study guides i would recite it over and over again to myself until my brain absorbed it! The key is to learn the concept! Are u taking it at city park?

The medical nutrition teacher is a lil tough but she gives you everything you need to prepare for the exam. Also, the assignments are really interesting. You will be doing a lot of care plans and case studies. The class actually prepare you for nursing school. I made an B in The class.
Do she do powerpoints or study guides?
Yes she will give you study guides and power points.
have any of yall heard of people getting accepted with a profile score of an 80. im really second guessing if I should even apply for the fall 2015 because im not sure if my profile score will be high enough.
Depends on how many ppl apply with high profile scores. For instance, if most of the applicants have an average of 80 the cutoff is 80 so anyone from 75-80 will be accepted. Is there anyway u can add 5 points to your score. Like since i completed math 118 and english 101 thats a total of 20 points plus with the nutrition i am taking. Did you complete most of your pre-reqs?
