I applied for the ELMSN program at Samuel Merritt (Oakland campus) for Fall 2008 (late...but got go ahead from admissions office) and still need to get in my NET scores (taking on Feb 9th) and my References.
Anyone else apply late and still need to take the NET?
Anyone hear back from Samuel Merritt for an interview or confirmation of receipt of application? If so was it by mail, email?
Anyone know what the typical applicant pool is like and how many applications they receive for the ELMSN program?
Does anyone know if Samuel Merritt offers interviews for all ELMSN applicants? This is my first time applying to the program for the Oakland campus, and I received a rejection letter in mid-March. I am a bit confused because I thought that they would at least reject me for an interview before rejecting me for the whole program (like UCSF). Can anyone shed light on this matter? I would really appreciate it! Thanks!
Yea they did interviews in feb and mar for the elmsn. I had an interview and still as of today's mail have not heard back, but I believe most other people have heard of acceptances/wait list status through the mail recently.
So they don't do interviews with everyone? It sounds unorganized because if they decide not to interview you, they do not tell you until they accept or decline people they interviewed. This is frustrating!
Yea I emailed them this weekend but have not gotten a response yet. It's weird how no one else hasn't heard! Hopefully tomorrow, of course I have been saying that for about 10 days now! Thanks for asking
I still haven't received a decision. A lady returned my email saying they would be mailed at the end of last week but I never got anything. I also talked to a lady on the phone last week who said that they were still not done deciding and that they were having a meeting about it that day, which sounded odd to me since they told us in the interview they would be making the decisions the week after the last interview round. So, I am still waiting ...maybe today
Who have you been emailing and calling? When I had questions I looked up their directory and directly called the person in charge of what I needed the answer on. If you have already done this then I have no idea what to try...
When I called on the phone I talked to someone in admissions and she put me on hold to find out and then told me that they were still making decisions. When I told her that I knew some people who had already found out she said that some of the decisions have been made but they were still deciding. Through email I talked to a lady who is the director of admissions for ELMSN and she told me that decisions should be mailed by the end of last week which did not happen. I live about 45 minutes away, so it's not that practical to go there in person. I think I will email again tomorrow if I don't get anything I suppose. If it is a rejection I don't really understand why it is taking so long...well either way I don't know why it's taking so long!
