sigh, will this be an assurance for a slot? or will you also become a part of the waiting list?

I'm not really sure why they are still hiring if there are so many who have passed the qualifications already.

i'm anticipating a reply from the HR-VP rgarding this matter. I'll keep u informed by tomorrow (Monday June 7)

@kyckerz - i have the same situation as yours.. i also submitted my requirements 2nd week of march this year.. and a month after i texted gianna - just to receive that they've completed the list of required nurses.. etc.. 'the works' same with 'my application being endorsed to slmc-qc for possible processing'... and still after 3 months = no call/text/confirmation that they have my application or whatsoever..

@kyckerz - what reply are you waiting/expecting from the hr-vp??

i never encountered any psych exams.. nor a skills validation exam.. [ iq - technical interview - medical/physical exam = 3 steps only w/c took me 6months to wait all-in-all]

i think that all you need to pass the technical interview is good communication skills = there were some who doesn't even know what exactly to do [nursing procedure in a given situation] who eventually reached the medical/physical exams part.. and possibly - reached the fate that i have...

got lots of batchmates who got themselves in.. and as to my situation - i turned down 2 hospitals already just for hoping i'd be accepted @ slmc-bgc.. and to no avail = such a waste..

still got 1 last application @ hand though and that's it..

goodluck to everybody else.. keep your heads up high.. =]

retthurr - i got myself into hot water after m last message to the VP. got myself an ALL CAPS message :) Maybe because of trying to be too persistent. I kinda felt wasted since I spent my last fifty pesos to get myself a community tax certificate the day i was fixing my requirements and walked from SLMC to Quezon Ave and used my remaining 7 pesos to go back home... and all of these for NOTHING? That's how I fel, I shouldnt have got myself that Tax Certificate if I would only be a reserve. And also the NBI clearance. that's P125. Not worth the wait. I should have grabbed my phone and looked for all possible connections to get into a decent hospital.I got punked. *lol* Lots of opportunities.

i just want to ask.... are they still accepting applicants??? at this moment of time??:bowingpur

if you are undergoing skills validation test, then it means you are for SLMC-QC not in Global, because they don't have the skills requirement. For larryjohn and stephani_magz - have you passed all the 3 qualifiers? (psyche exam, skills validation & interview) When are you gonna start the training? I think there is an upcoming NSET batch 02-09 that will be starting this end of july or august...

hello! anyone here has taken the skills validation test? care to share? :redpinkhe ty in advance! this forum has been a big help!:typing

Hi guys!

Does anyone know whats their email address? I want to submit my resume, is it advisable to send it via email? Thanks guys.

hi nursekcee...

Yup, I already took the skills validation in SLMC-QC. Well this was how my exam happened: You are to be called one at a time inside the skills lab in the College of Medicine. you are then to pick a number which corresponds to a nursing skill (eg gastric lavage, wound care, bedmaking, positioning, etc...but nothing too advance, just the basic skills). after you picked a skill, you have 3 minutes to gather all the materials...a station is there with all the materials. then you perform the skills as if you are doing it actually, you knock at the door talk to patient, etc. After which, you'll be asked regarding the skills and a little interview...by the way your panel would be different unit managers ( i have 5 panel from maternity, surgical, pedia...etc)

I passed all the rquirements for both SLMC-QC and Global. Goodluck...may i asked when are you scheduled for skills validation?

Hi wnston! thanks you so much for the reply, and now, that really scares me.. I really need to review, big time! haha. I don't have a schedule yet, i just passed the psychological exam yesterday, they just told us to wait for a call.. Are you already on training now? :rcgtku:

and may i ask, is the skills validation test different from the panel interview?

to polkadots: I'm sorry, I'm not yet allowed to send a private message here, maybe because i just joined and had only 2 posts.. haha

i think we are only 6 who passed.. do you want to chat on YM instead? :) pm me your yahoo id :)
