anyone here applied for SLMC-GC???

newbie here. i just had my technical interview yesterday and i received a while ago the message form ms. gianna that i passed. (thank God!) it was stated in the message that i have to be patient in waiting for the assessment and prospeak sched for it will take some time. i know it's going to be a looooong wait for me because i learned from ms. gianna yesterday that there are still around 500 applicants ahead of me so i guess i really have to be really patient then. but i am quite confused. i thought what follows after the technical interview is the medical exam. am i right? and by the way, what is the assessment exam all about? is it on paper or a computer-based one? what about prospeak? is it another exam? i think i have to be oriented again about the entire application process because it has been ages since the day of my initial interview when i was oriented. hahaha. thanks!

yup thank God. :wink2: i had my tech. interview october '08 then last friday i received a text msg. from ms. gianna that my sched for medical was last monday jan 19, 09. after the medical, i took the computer based exam. then she told me to pass all the requirements last wednesday (01-21-09) and told me that same day after i passed my reqts. that my training sched. is on feb 2. :wink2:

By the way did you know what happen to the previous batch? Are they now working at SLMC? How many percent make it through? I remember The HR told us that you need to be in the top 90% of the training batch to be able to make the cut. Is that true?

they told us the same thing, the HR told us that we have to do really good in our training to make the cut. we were informed that we will undergo 5 months training, after that period we will be on probation (don't know how long) then after that, God willing :saint:we'll be all hired as regular employees. :wink2:.:wink2::):wink2:

I have a question here. If the training takes about 5 months, the feb. 2 batch would probably end on june or early july. Will SLMC start training another batch even if the earlier batch is not done yet? or do we have to wait for the feb. 2 batch to finish first before the next batch begins training? thanks!

i heard thru "grape vine" that there are 2 batch of training that is currently ongoing. batch 8 started first week of january 2009 and batch 9 which i am included feb. 2, 2009. our facilitator told us that they need to pool 20 batch of trainees for slmc-gc. they still need 11 more batch if im not mistaken. good luck:nuke: patience is a virtue! :nurse:

thanks for that information quickwitted04. it's good to know that they are still going to train more batches. at least now i know that we do not need to wait for the earlier batches to finish first before a new set begins. well, i guess we just really have to live by that motto... patience is a virtue!!! thanks again!

I did pass my resume via email, and they responded immediately. The first time I passed my resume was through the guard, but I didn't get any texts from them, so a month later, I decided to pass my resume through email (you can email them through the SLMC website). This time I got a response from them, and they did schedule me for the initial exam. Now I'm waiting for the schedule of my initial interview.

may i ask, what is the email add of st lukes global city that you sent ur resume to? how many days or weeks did it took them to answer to ur mail and schedule u for the initial exam?

hi nurse ruby! i sent my application through e-mail too and they replied the day after i sent it. they told me to wait for their text since there are about 600 applicants ahead of me. the thing though is i haven't received any text from them yet for an initial exam. i passed my application last november 26. how long did you wait for their text message regarding your initial exam?
