Hello all,
I have applied to pueblo community college, I am already getting very anxious as I know my GPA isn't really high enough. Is anyone in the same boat or anyone in the program? what is the GPA average?
I was in there for two semesters. If you wanna know why i transferred, private message me. First semester I took fundamentals, health assessment, concepts of professional nursing, informatics, and healthy aging. Then second semester I took psych, pharm, and maternity. I only need peds, med surg 1&2, and leadership. I applied for full time as well, but I'll take whatever they give me. I really wanna dual enroll with uccs online and get my Bsn from there.
I also applied to the nursing program at PCC and I am praying that I get accepted. I have to finish some classes and submit my grades by 05-18-2016. I have a 3.0 GPA but lots of work experience. I am scared with my GPA:( It was from when I was younger (2003), but hope I proved this last couple semesters that I am serious and take my GPA very serious now. I applied for the Pueblo and Fremont campus. I am on the edge waiting:) I want to get accepted so I can move forward with my dream. Does anyone know when they email our personal references? None of my references have heard from PCC as of yet.
Also, look into otero. They have rolling admissions-however, you have to take an accuplacer for reading and math, but it's not that bad. Having other options in nursing school is always a good thing. I wish you the best, and I hope to see you in the fall.
To answer your question, no idea about the references. Sorry!
Thanks a lot Steve. If you Have any questions with csus program, I can help you out. First semester was the hardest for me, and most of my cohort. The following semesters are a lot more "fun". You actually get to work in the hospital and do nurse things. It's a pretty great feeling. I wish you the best over there. If you are a male, (which I'm assuming by your name you are), stay as invisible as you can.
Your thread has been moved to the Nursing Schools / Colleges forum where the other school specific discussions are. We hope you will receive additional responses in this new location.

Mursingislife,
How long were you in there program? Hopefully we will get to see eachother! I applied for the part time or full time lpn-rn bridge, the full time would put me in the 2nd year (slots based on dropped students) and part time has its own seperate class.
