Hello all,
I have applied to pueblo community college, I am already getting very anxious as I know my GPA isn't really high enough. Is anyone in the same boat or anyone in the program? what is the GPA average?

Hi there! I also applied to Pueblo's nursing program (the LPN-RN bridge) did you apply for the full RN? And I just moved from WA last month to CO, all my pre-reqs were done there and transfered over to Pueblo cc. My cumulative GPA from my previous college was 3.67, and I did a conversion of my letter grades from my nursing pre-req transfers at Pueblo cc and it is 3.9. I am currently taking patho right now! I am extremely anxious as well, is it May we are supposed to find out ??
Hello and welcome to Colorado! I applied for full RN , your GPA is very good and if you have some healthcare related experience, you should get in pretty easily. I am very nervous because my GPA is just 3.38, I calculated it myself so... not sure I did it right. we are required 5 classes, I have 2 As and 3 Bs. I wish I had all As , but I was working as a CNA fulltime, was hard to keep up with my As. I think we should find out in May ,that's when the 2015 promotion found out. Are you down in Pueblo now? I live in Denver.wish luck and keep me updated if you hear anything please.tks
I graduated from an LPN program back in September and worked as an LPN for a few months before we had to move, so that all the working healthcare experience I have /: hoping that is enough. 3.38 is still very good though! The required minimum is only 2.5 I believe so you are well above that :) and you have a lot of working experience. I used this site to convert letter grades to 4.0 scale. I currently live in Fountain/Colorado Springs. Good luck and yes, let me know if you hear anything either!
you should be fine thought! I think the GPA is the first thing they look at since no entrance exam required, and you have an excellent GPA. let's wait and see, but I am trying to extend my application to many other school. Crossing fingers, keep in touch!
hello

I got into csu-pueblo with a 3.48 so im sure you will get in! haha don't sweat it.
Wow congratulations! I haven't heard anything from Pueblo yet, I called the office a few weeks ago asking if they knew when the lpn-rn applicants would know of acceptance, she said they they finished going through all the application and it would be anytime between then and end of May (like the full RN people). My online class end May 7th and I needs to turn in my grade, im hoping to heard back before then though.

That makes me feel so much better! Washington is getting rediculous with nursing school requirments, 4.0 students are turned away /:, I was starting to think I it would be years before I would get in, i've been rejeced from 2 RN programs before going to LPN school. Good feelings about Pueblo cc, I'll let you guys know if I get in or not :). How far are you into the CSU program and are you liking it?
I called them Thursday asking if they knew when the decision would be made and they said any day because a summer course is required. Then I got a call Friday (yeserday) at 5:30pm from Pueblo asking me to verify my application for the LPN-RN program and to resend my supplemental materials and verification that they received my application... I hope that's a good sign:down: .

Hey there,
i am a transfer from Csu pueblos program. I applied into pccs program with a 3.9, an emt cert, and an AS degree. I had a terrible experience with csus program. I was told I stand a "very high" chance of getting into this one. I have no idea where I'll start at pcc. I may have to re start, but I told them that I would. So, I may see you with the second year students, or I may see you a whole year ahead of me. Either way, pcc is a very good school, and I strongly believe you will have a good experience there.
I'm about to finish my first semester! Its good been challenging haha but I like it! And don't stress it you will get in! I was #12 on our waitlist and I still got in lol
