Anyone applied for FGCU spring 2013?

I've put in my application, just curious, how did you do on the TEAS exam, did you complete all prereqs and what's your cumulative GPA? for me 75 TEAS/missing Nutrition and Human Development/GPA 3.28. I know it doesn't look good for me right now. If this doesn't work, I will try the LPN program at Irwin Tech or get a student loan and attend Galen or Keiser. So depressed.

OMG I just got my letter, I wasn't accepted because I didn't meet the GPA requirement of 3.0. My overall GPA is higher than 3.2 and my prereq is even higher. I don't even know where they are getting this from. It took so much time and energy to get everything lined up for admission into the school I don't even know how to fight this. I feel deflated...why can't I see my GPA on gulfline anyway?

You def need to call them tomorrow. Find out if you didn't meet the requirement or if it wasn't competitive enough. Don't give up!

i was wallowing in my misery so much so that i didn't even see that you guys made it in. i am so happy for you kelseychu and samiam856--i knew you were in for sure. :cheers:. i will call tomorrow. does anyone see their gpa on gulfline? i was told that fgcu does not calculate gpa and that the school of nursing does it's own calculations. i don't even know how that makes sense.

I don't know what they use buy my undergrad was a 3.4 graduate was a 3.7 and pre req was a 3.7. I had an 83.3 overall on the TEAS but I don't know what weir equation they do to get their score for nursing.

I would def call bc they gave you a reason that doesn't make sense. If you're above a 3.0 then that shouldn't be the reason. Def investigate, and keep me posted. And keep you're head up even of it doesn't work out. It took me 7 denial letters to get in to a few schools. It'll happen for you :)

I remember your 7 denials, and you just kept chugging and hoping for the best! Than you for the awesome encouragement, I am going to remember you when I finally make it. If this truly doesn't work, then I will go on and spend the big $$ in a private school, I can't give up too much time playing the waiting game since I am doing the single mom thing. Will keep you updated after I speak with them tomorrow.

I got a 86.7 overall on the TEAS with 81.3 in science. My GPA overall was a 3.49 and prereqs were 3.55.
