I've never worked in any of these hospitals, but I've been to both hospitals...both are very good hospitals, but I really love UCSD....they have one of the finest and most dedicted staff around San Diego....That is just the experience I had with them....Good Luck!

i have bee\ working at ucsd hillcrest and thorton for about 3 1/2 years as a traveler and registry back and forth. i LOVE it there. i've worked all the units and all the imus. everyone is very nice, the docs are great, the patients are reasonably sick compared to what you will see in san diego (although the acuity is lower than in other areas of the country), there is a good amount of help available, great with their staffing numbers... 2 thumbs up!
