I'm planning to apply for Spring 2010. Do you know how many applicants / how many seats there were this semester?

HI!!!!
I got accepted to the spring 2009 term for ohlone. I'm glad you made this thread:) I look forward in meeting everyone in the program.
Hey I have a question about the books....the packet of books for the two year is 1300...are we bound to buy this packet or can we buy the books individually on ebay??
Hi,
there's 33 seats for spring 2009.
Hi,there's 33 seats for spring 2009.
Do you know how many people applied for it?
Hi aubs,
Judging from the application orientation, there must have been at least 150 people for the first day. I'm assuming that they might have had the same number for the 2nd; so, a total of about 300. But of the 300, there were 175 qualified applicants that were put into the lottery pool and 30 seats available. Hope this helps and good luck to you!

Hi phuo21,
Congrats to you too! I think that the price for the texts is more- $1500 for the whole 2yrs. I haven't heard anything about it from the staff, but my friend , who started this Fall, said that it's better to get the packaged texts instead of buying individually like she did. She saved a little $$ but not much. She said that doing her research for her projects is time consuming. The packaged texts come with the CDs that you can download to your laptop which will search all 12 texts for the subject you are researching. She also said that there are too many books to carry and having them on the laptop is convenient. I guess it's what you prefer. Hope this helps.
Wow.... Oh the pain of being a pre-nursing student. I hate not knowing when I could get into a program. You must be so relieved that you're finally in. :roll
hi C112,
thanks for responding. Did you go to your appointment with janet?? She said the books are 1300....I guess base on what your friend said it is best to buy the packet. Couldn't you purchase old packet from former students?
Hey hang in there!
heh we were in the anxious state not long ago. Goodluck!
Yes, relieved, but I don't think the "pain" has begun yet. Hang in there and stay positive. I know it's hard to think that way, but it will work out in the end.
Cheers,
