I'm going to take the lecture part of A&P II online in the Spring. I toyed w/ the idea of doing that w/ A&P I this semester and really wished I would have.
We're using the Marieb book and honestly, I've just started going to class the day we have quizzes and exams. I study off of the Marieb website using their practice tests and games. Our lecture prof is horribly boring and basically just reads right off of the powerpoints so its really pointless to go! I'm holding onto a 96 in lecture so I don't feel bad about skipping.

we use the Marieb book too, but the compass course website won't let you in unless your instructor has a couse ID set up and my instructor didn't do all of that. What web sites are you using to help you. i feel like you - so pointless to go to calss because I am not getting anything out of it and I'm needing all the help I can gety to help me learn this material without getting confused.
Well that sucks that professor isn't setting that up for you! It's a real wealth of info. The entire book pretty much is online so you can read through that and it has practice tests and matching and labeling diagrams. I wonder if you could just ask him to give you his teacher code since you're interested in using it.
Really the Marieb links are all i've using so far so I can't really help you out w/ any other sites. There might be some good ones on the the big thread for A&P for fall semester.

I am using the Marieb book and the website as well. Did you buy your book new? If so, you should have had an access code with it. If you bought your book used, you can pay for access to the website. It's $35.00 for the seventh edition if you don't need the e-book access as well (you shouldn't if you already have the book.) I think the tutorials on the website are worth $35.00. Just my opinion.

yep - I bought it new - I have the access code, but without and instructor course id, i don't think i can get in.

I know!! - because I used this for my intermediate algebra - but it was a hybrid course so it worked perfectly.
This is just a straight lecture course for my A&P 1 teacher right now- so he's not even set up with a course ID for me to use. I think only the internet teacher are doing this. _
sigh - I'm so frustrated - I understand how helpful those practice tests and things are - I'm really considering dropping my lecture class i registered for in the spring and just do it online.
Mmmmmmm, I didn't have to have an instructor code. All I needed was the access code that came with my book. I logged in no problem before my class even started and did so with only my access code. I just tried it again so I could give you specific information, but it's not letting me getting anywhere since I have already registered with my access code. (I don't think I am making any sense.) My registration material says "If your instructor doesn't provide either ID (My A&P course ID or A&P Place ID), you can still use the A&P Place on your own."
To do this it says to go to http://www.MyAandP.com, select "register" under "Student". Select your book cover and follow the on-screen instructions.
I hope this helps you!

I have lots of friends that took it online, they got a big workbook and just had to come to school for classes. I dont think you grasp everything that way unless ur going to heavily study. Its so good to know your AnP in nursing school, if anything I promise you thats one of the things you will not regret knowing.
yea - I do study heavily - I do that now - I have no choice -I'm getting nowhere with my instructor really.
The labs are still live though - once a week at school - only lecture is online- I couldn't imagine not having a hands on lab for this sort of thing

no - you are making cvomplete sense - I understand everything you are in saying-- in fact - I though I saw this somewhere too, if your instructor don't have an ID,you could still get in. I went round and round with that and the ultimate bottom line was that even with an acess code without the course ID, I couldn't get in - I even called the toll free number and they told me the same- I will take a look at this later again.
thanks for checking this for me:heartbeat
