As everyone and their mother (or father) seems to be going to nursing school these days all CUNY programs are filled to capacity. For pre-nursing CUNY represents a pretty good value even if someone intends on transferring elsewhere and or does not make the cut into a particular college's nursing program.
However the opposite; transferring into a CUNY school as pre-nursing can be difficult. Some schools have a residency requirement which will mean a certain number of credits must be taken at that school before you can apply for the nursing program.
If you are willing to take online courses, try SUNY. I took the majority of my prerequisites through SUNY. I am enrolled at CUNY Lehman for my last pre req but I am matriculated (going to apply to their nursing program) so maybe matriculate at a CUNY and transfer if you decide to go elsewhere. Good luck
I took all of mine through SUNY Cayuga College. They offered almost everything online except chemistry, and both NYU (where I transferred to for a semester) and University at Buffalo (where I transferred to next and ended up completing my BSN) accepted all of my credits. I took most of them online, and ended up moving to the Auburn, NY area (where the school is located) for a few months to take all of the non-online ones in one semester. The classes were pretty easy, and were super affordable ($178/credit hour). If nothing else I would definitely suggest taking pharmacology through them- everyone I know who took it at SUNY/CUNY schools in person had a miserable time with it, but if you're a self-directed learner it was ok at Cayuga.

...if so where did you take them? I am not interested in taking all my pre-reqs online (maybe just one or two) and I heard that CUNY science courses can be super difficult to get into especially as a non-matriculated student. I would love to know what some other options are, if you don't mind sharing. Thanks!
