I just wanted to share my excitement with anybody who has a time stamp. My time stamp is 8:00:39 I applied just recently and want to hear from everyone else who have recently applied this year and want to here what they are doing to prepare. Please let me know that I am not the only one excited to be done with their prereqs and finally done with applying to a school.

I also got my date time stamp on 6/11/10; mine is 8:06:00. Does that really mean there were 600 applicants this period? Yikes!!
Wow finally someone who has applied the same as me. I was beginning to think that I was the only one on this site that applied this application period. I wish I knew if that is truely the way the applicants are counted. I will try to look it up. Out of curiosity which school did you choose as your first choice???

Before they added the Feb/Mar applications to the application status board, there were 2486 applicants waiting... now that number is 2624..... so I would say there's approx 130 people that applied during Feb/Mar period.
My first choice is Chandler-Gilbert 4 semester and then CGCC accelerated and MCC as my third. I applied at the end of May. Good luck!!

When do you think you guys will actually start the program? Applying in the summer of 2010, are you thinking maybe Fall 2011, or Spring 2012?
I am thinking maybe the way things look now spring 2012 or fall 2012...if I get the employee placement hopefully more sooner...
Yep, that's what I'm thinking as well; Spring 2012
Well I applied June 16. But I mean I am not even in the system yet for like a timestamp placement. I was really hoping a year from now, like Fall 2011, or even Spring 2012. What places offer the employee placement? I am going to have my cna soon, would that help? I just feel so discouraged to wait two years before even starting...I actually heard the list was getting smaller, since people were dropping out...I just feel like I need a plan B, or C...
As far as an CNA goes the only benifit is your benifit of some experience in a hospital setting. There is really nothing about being a CNA that gets you in the program. As far as employee placement if you are a CNA you can work as an PCT at either Banner, John C. Lincoln, or Scottdale Healthcare. These three organizations have a partnership with maricopa nursing. You can advance quicker into the program through employee placement.
How do you get in the placement system? Since I have already applied, and then lets say I get hired at Banner. Does Banner specifically get ahold on Maricopa Nursing or is there another process that I should go through in order to make it in a program faster?

Just for comparison sake, I have a Feb 09 date stamp and I am still waiting to get in. I *should* be getting into the Spring 2011 group, so that's a 4 semester wait for me. If you have a June date stamp, it'll probably be Fall 2012. Hopefully sooner, you never know, but I was told it is a 3 - 4 sememster wait (and that is from date stamp, not application...)
